BBG School Group Visits: Discovery Carts

Self-Guided School & Camp Group Visits 

Please use the calendar to select the day and time slot for your visit.

• Children’s groups from pre-K through high school may visit free of charge by advance registration only.


• Registration slots are limited. Groups may arrive between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m., 12 and 2 p.m., or 2 and 4 p.m. (Late-afternoon entry is not available November–February.) The group may stay until the Garden closes.


• Up to 100 tickets can be booked per order. Groups may include up to 90 students and should have one adult for every 10 students.


• Note that if you are offered fewer tickets, it is because the time slot you have selected is almost booked up and only has the offered number of spaces available.


• Each reservation must be made under the name of the group’s teacher or chaperone.


• Each child and adult must have a reserved ticket for entrance.

School Lunch Area

An outdoor picnic lunch area is open exclusively for school and camp groups, weather permitting, Tuesdays through Fridays, 10:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m., from the first week of April through mid-November. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note the Garden does not have facilities to store lunches for visiting classes.

Discovery Cart Tuesdays & Thursdays
October 3–November 2, 2023

During Discovery Cart drop-in programs, space is limited and groups must book a Discovery Garden Drop-In time slot for access. This ticket includes Garden admission any time after 10 a.m. and Discovery Garden admission at the selected entry time. Maximum group size is 30 people. Outside of these peak hours, the Discovery Garden is open to groups for self-guided exploration.

Mask Policy

Masks are optional for students, teachers, and chaperones throughout the Garden; proof of vaccination is not required.
