BBG School Group Visits: Discovery Trail

Discovery Trail Tuesdays & Thursdays
October 1–November 14, 2024 (no programs on October 3 & November 5)

During Discovery Trail drop-in programs, space is limited and groups must book a Discovery Trail Drop-In time slot for access. This ticket includes Garden admission any time after 10 a.m. and Discovery Garden admission at the selected time. Maximum group size is 30 students. We request a minimum of 1 adult per 10 students. Outside of these peak hours, the Discovery Garden is open to groups for self-guided exploration.

• Children’s groups from pre-K through high school may visit free of charge by advance registration only.


• Discovery Trail slots are limited. Groups should present themselves at the north entrance to the Discovery Garden at the selected time. The group may stay until the Garden closes.


• Each reservation must be made under the name of the group’s teacher or chaperone.


• Each child and adult must have a reserved ticket for entrance.


• If a single timeslot cannot accommodate your group, please contact discovery@bbg.org to enquire about options.

School Lunch Area

An outdoor picnic lunch area is open exclusively for school and camp groups, weather permitting, Tuesdays through Fridays, 10:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m., from the first week of April through mid-November. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note the Garden does not have facilities to store lunches for visiting classes.
