CRACKING UP THE CASTING CALL: Auditioning With & For Comedy
This workshop will prepare you for the reality of the casting world, in both traditional live auditions and the now more common virtual or self-taped audition. The focus will be on using comedic techniques to read for comedy projects.
Using a variety of exercises and techniques including improv, scene work, and audition do's & don’ts, this workshop is a great way to connect with a casting pro and get questions answered.
Your Instructor: Rikki Gee
The class will be taught by Rikki Gee; actor, improviser, theatrical director & producer, and Casting Associate with Morgan Casting, a multi-national agency responsible for casting award winning films & TV programs, as well as hundreds of commercials.
Actors are welcome to come prepared with a 60-90 second monologue to work on, and/or play with scenes provided. Bringing a prepared scene is NOT required; this is completely optional and should not hinder attendance.

*Presentation of principles of comedy and improv as they apply to an audition
[BREAK]
