About Olivia: Olivia Benson is the Chief Operating Officer of The Forbes Funds. At The Forbes Funds, Olivia leads the implementation of the organization’s social impact goals – including program alignment to the Social Determinants of Health and United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and the development of human centered and data trainings for community based partners. She also manages the organization’s largest funding portfolio, the Catalytic Community Cohorts (C3), designed to develop best practices for the nonprofit sector locally, nationally, and internationally through collaboration, identifying community-wide assets, and tracking key metrics.
She is the former Community Engagement Director for the Women and Girls Foundation (WGF). In this role, she worked to oversee WGF’s communications, membership program, volunteer projects, and all other external community engagement activities to ensure every girl can rise and every woman can soar. Prior to joining WGF, Olivia managed multi-million dollar smart city technology implementation programs for various cities throughout the country. Olivia has also worked as a deputy press secretary for US Congress, and in a number of management, press relations, and communications roles on political campaigns in Pennsylvania. From 2011 – 2013, Olivia served as the Director of Youth Policy for the City of Pittsburgh, leading the city’s education, employment, and civic engagement programs for thousands of students and young adults.
