Event Description

To kick off Black History Month, wndr will be screening The Last Black Man in San Francisco for our first-ever Movie Night! The film, released in 2019, follows a young man who wants to reclaim the home his grandfather built in San Francisco. Inspired by the real-life story of Jimmie Fails, the film explores topics of loss and longing, gentrification, and the desire for home.

Guests will watch the film in our Atrium space (popcorn will be provided) and finish the evening with a tour of the museum. We hope to see you there!

This film is rated R. You must be at least 17 years old or accompanied by a parent or guardian (age 21 or older).

wndr inspires and entertains our visitors by providing an immersive experience in which the thoughtful curation of world-class art alongside provocative, emerging artists as well as visitor-made art creates an unforgettable journey that reveals the wonders of the world around us. Home to Chicago's first ever Infinity Mirror Room by iconic Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama, wndr places works from Richard Prince, Barbara Kruger, and Alex Israel in conversation with thought-provoking, innovative technologies, and stunning installations. With every moment comes an opportunity to be creative, ask questions, and, most importantly, play.

All purchases are final. No refunds or reschedules.
