This "Bring Your Own Bottle" (BYOB) event at Thai Spoon in Dormont welcomes residents and friends to enjoy a summer meal along Potomac Avenue in a fun new way. Wine Exchanges are social events that bring wine novices and experts together to share in a meal. During the meal, guests are welcome to bring a bottle of wine to have andor share with their meal. Additionally, guests are encouraged to bring a second bottle to place on an exchange table to be traded amongst the dinner party, usually as a game, over the course of the evening.
Your $5 W.E. RSVP secures your seat and covers your corkage for the evening. The restaurant has prepared a specially priced $25 menu, including tax and tip, for the party's enjoyment. Have a bottle of wine selected and delivered to the restaurant for you with the $15 W.E. Select option.

What is a Wine Exchange? A wine exchange is a dinner at a BYOB restaurant in which attendees (optionally) bring 2 bottles, one to accompany their meal and the second to be exchanged in a white elephant gift exchange at some point during the meal. The method for selecting exchange wines changes each event to correspond with the theme of the event. The average participant typically exchanges a bottle ranging from $15-20.
WineExchanges.com is pleased to host the first Pittsburgh wine exchange along Potomac Avenue in Dormont to reinforce that businesses are open during the Summer 2016 construction.
