Wine list for this exclusive VIP Grand Tasting
Notes from our wine collectors:
1988 Tenuta San Guido Sassicaia Bolgheri, Tuscany, Italy Rated 94 Value $700
A spectacular cab from super tuscan region of Italy. Try to find this one. It does not exist except at super expensive auctions.
1999 Soldera Case Basse, Brunello di Montalcino Reserva Rated 98 Value $700
The king of Brunello's from a spectacular year. Soldera is a cult wine that is very hard to get.
2006 Hently Farms, The Beast Rated 99 Value $300
A super select shiraz that is no longer sold in the US. This is the stuff that Parker goes crazy for. The vineyard for this shiraz is on a mountain top and a bull roams freely on the range. He does not seem interested in the grapes, but is very protective of them. He must be tranquilized before they can harvest the grapes.
2007 Caldwell Gold, Cabernet Sauvignon Rated 98 Value $275
My friend John Caldwell is located in Napa and grows this cult cabernet that is not sold anywhere in the US. This is from Coombsville, the new hot area of Napa for cab. John sells all of this at his winery and has a waiting list for restaurants in Napa trying to get it.
2003 Dal Forno Romana, Amarone della Valpolicella Rated 94 Value $475
The supreme commander of Amarone in Italy also makes outstanding Valpolicella, the baby amarone. Dal Forno is not sold in stores. You must have someone in the trade that can get it for you. Highly sought after and impossible to get.
2000 Château Léoville-Las Cases Rated 99 Value $750
A super second Bordeaux from the magical vintage that set records for ratings. This is drinking absolutely perfectly right now and while available to collectors, it is for a hefty sum to get a bottle of this rock star of French wine.
2001 Chateau d Y'Quem Rating 99 Value $350 1/2 bottle
This little gem will be given out as a prize for the person that comes closest to identifying a mystery wine. We would offer points for vintage, location, region, vineyard and producer. Good Luck!
