Event Description
The East Meets West dinner brings chefs from the coast to the mountains of our great state together for one memorable evening at the picturesque Fearrington Village in the Fearrington Barn. Shining a light on the finest producers throughout North Carolina, the multi-course meal is served family style, and showcases some of the most exciting talent in the state today.
We've never repeated a guest chef at this dinner, but in honor of our 10th and final festival, we're bringing back 10 " East Meets West alumni" chefs for a night of exceptional food and community spirit. In addition to our outstanding chefs, Botanist & Barrel will be providing ciders and Tarboro Brewing Company will provide craft beer for the evening.
Our 2019 chef lineup includes:
- Colin Bedford of Fearrington House in Pittsboro
- Daniel Benjamin of lucettegrace in Raleigh
- Ashley Boyd of 300 East in Charlotte
- Steven Devereaux Greene of Herons at The Umstead in Cary
- Vivian Howard of Chef & The Farmer in Kinston
- Joe Kindred of Kindred in Davidson and Hello, Sailor in Cornelius
- Cheetie Kumar of Garland in Raleigh
- Dean Neff of Love, Lydia (and a new project opening in 2020) in Wilmington
- Keith Rhodes of Catch in Wilmington
- Jesse Roque of Never Blue in Hendersonville
In addition, master baker Lionel Vatinet of La Farm Bakery will provide fresh baked breads and crafted spreads for the dinner. Botanist & Barrel of Cedar Grove will serve their ciders and dry fruit wines and Tarboro Brewing Company will serve their craft beer.
If you have food allergies or dietary restrictions, please do not purchase tickets before contacting us at 404-822-0276. There are no refunds, and many food allergies cannot be accommodated since all dishes are served family style.
