Travelers Aid Presents: A Tasteful Salute

On Thursday, November 3, 2016, Travelers Aid of Pittsburgh will host A Tasteful Salute to veterans. The event will be held at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum from 6-9 PM. The event will include food from around the world, live music, a silent auction, and a special guest speaker. This evening will honor those whom have served our country.

The Veterans Transportation Assistance Program (VTAP) assists veterans throughout Allegheny County with transportation for their job search, employment retention, medical appointments, and counseling. VTAP partners with Pittsburgh-area veteran agencies such as Veterans Administration Healthcare, Veterans Leadership Program, Veterans Place, Shepherd’s Heart, and Soldier On. The program began in July 2015 and has provided nearly 700 monthly bus passes to date.  We have served over 275 veterans with transportation to attend vital appointments and activities.  Travelers Aid of Pittsburgh is proud to be the sole provider of this type of transportation support for veterans in Pittsburgh.
