A Choral Concert with TRANScend

​Join the TRANScend Ambassadors & Community Chorale as they present "Hear My Voice," a concert celebrating shared human experiences with music from composers new and old.

This event will take place in person at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library on the 7th Floor.

Join SNFL for a special choral concert with the TRANScend Ambassadors & Community Chorale. TRANScend is a New York-based trans / gender-expansive vocal ensemble whose focus is on creating inclusive, supportive performance and musical experiences, while exploring the unique aural aesthetic of trans and atypical voices singing classical works together. 

Whether evoking  delight in spring, the transcendent joy of love or the agony of loss,  choral music has beautifully illustrated the human experience for centuries. Join the TRANScend Ambassadors & Community Chorale as they present "Hear My Voice," a concert celebrating these shared human experiences in a program that includes new music from composers Hannah Cai Sobel and Felix Graham, as well as contemporary and traditional pieces from the Western choral canon, including John Michael Trotta, Alice Parker, Dietrich Buxtehude and others.

To join the event in person | Doors will open 30 minutes before the program begins. For free events, we generally overbook to ensure a full house. Priority will be given to those who have registered in advance, but registration does not guarantee admission. All registered seats are released shortly before start time, and seats may become available at that time. A standby line will form 30 minutes before the program.
