This Tony nominated musical chronicles the trials of self-expression of two nobodies, named Hunter and Jeff, who decide to write a completely original musical starring themselves and their two talented actress friends, Susan and Heidi. Brought to stage by The Company of Pittsburgh, this witty, hysterical musical celebrates the sometimes bittersweet process of productive creativity. The production stars veteran Pittsburgh musical theater actress, Christine Laitta (I Love You, You're Perfect Now Change at CLO Cabaret) as Susan. Jim Scriven (Dora, the Explorer! Live!) portrays Jeff, the composer and lyricist. Chad Elder (Stage 62's Avenue Q) plays Hunter, the show within a show's book writer. Jodi Gage (Lady Windemere in Lady Windemere's Fan at PICT) rounds out the quartet as Heidi. Directed by Nick B. Mitchell, The Company's intimate production features musical direction by Douglas Levine, who also appears as the show's onstage pianist Larry, and choreography by Kristiann Menotiades.
