Oregon Coast Dinner Train

The Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad operates a scenic excursion Dinner Train from our depot in Garibaldi, Oregon.  Each excursion is a three hour journey along the Oregon Coast and includes a variety of seating and meal options. All trains depart from Garibaldi, Oregon. Departure times vary by season.

The Dinner Train offers two seating options for our Dinner Train excursions:  Dining Car seating (includes a meal) and Chair Car seating (without a meal) that is general admission, see details below for both seating types.

Dining Car: (Tickets range in price from $76.50 - $83) This three hour excursion offers Passengers the opportunity to take in the scenic Oregon Coast while we travel from Garibaldi to Wheeler and back. 

Reserved seating options allow you to select the table size and view for you and your group (2 person or 4 person tables available on both sides of the train). Ocean view tables offer passengers scenic views of the Tillamook and Nehalem Bays plus the Pacific Ocean while Mountain View tables offer views of beach communities and surrounding mountains. 

Each ticket includes reserved seating in our Dining Car.  Dinner includes a full four course catered meal and offers each passenger their choice of entree:

- Prime Rib with Horseradish Sauce; 

- Baked Wild Salmon with Lemon Dill Sauce; or

- Herb Pork Loin with a light gravy

Meals includes: Appetizer, dinner salad, entree, and a seasonal desert.

Coffee, soda, and water are complimentary with a selection of beer and wine available for purchase. 

*Dining Car ticket sales close the Wednesday before the departure date. Chair Car tickets are available for sale right up to departure time.  Cash only for Chair Car tickets without reservations.

Chair Car:  (Tickets $35 / each) This new service offering welcomes our passengers to join us for a ride to enjoy the scenery along the Oregon Coast without the dinner option. 

While riding with the Dinner Train the Chair Car offers an open seating environment that is priced for the whole family to enjoy.

Chair Car passengers are welcome to bring their own snacks, board games, or anything else along for the ride.  Seating in the Chair Car is open so feel free to move around, meet your fellow passengers, and socialize in this informal setting.  Please no outside beer or wine.
