DOUBT, A Parable
by John Patrick Shanley
Set in the Bronx in 1964, this brilliant and engaging Pulitzer and Tony Award winning drama tells of Father Flynn, a young reform-minded teacher, who becomes embroiled in a battle with Sister Aloysius, the imperious principal of St. Nicholas Church School. Sister Aloysius suspects Father Flynn of molesting the school's first African-American pupil and is determined to undo him, though the evidence against him is circumstantial at best.
