THE VARSITY

Climb aboard THE VARSITY on an exciting excursion through Chicagoland with historic steam locomotive no. 765!

Departing the Glen of North Glenview and Fox Lake stations on the morning of June 12th, no. 765 and its historic train will travel the 186-mile round trip to Janesville, Wisconsin for lunch (served on board), perform run-bys for passengers (time permitting) and return in the afternoon.

Passengers can enjoy accommodations aboard historic railroad cars from the 1930s through the 1950s in standard coach, deluxe coach, first class and dome car classes. Lunch is included in each ticket and a continental breakfast, refreshments and snacks are included with all first class and dome car tickets. All runbys and arrival and departure times are contingent on operating conditions.
