Staten Island Shakespearean Theatre Company Presents:
THE TWO GENTLEMEN OF VERONA
By William Shakespeare
Shakespeare's early comedy about love and friendship takes a tongue-in-cheek approach to living through the current crisis and resulting theatrical apocalypse. This rare, actual live performance in 2020 is complete with actors and audience alike attending in facemarks and maintaining social distance. Running with that theme, the ragtag (but surviving!) company players use the ancient traditions of masked theatre to tell the story, along with a collection of Renaissance Commedia del'Arte masks, and the remnants of past shows to show that theatre will never die.
