Event Description
Join Jim Schubin, Joan Schubin & friends for a wonderful evening of songs at Music Mountain Theatre! Jim's credits include 1st prize in the International Lotte Lenya Singing Competition, the first National Tour of The Sound of Music, and more than a year starring Off-Broadway as Matt in the longest running musical of all time, The Fantasticks. Joan has been performing in the NJ area since the age of 7. Some of her favorite roles include Mary Poppins, Polly in Crazy for You, and Marian in The Music Man.
Michael Gilch is all atingle to accompany his friends the JohnSchubs this evening. Michael is a full-time musician who plays, teaches, conducts, and has been known to break out the accordion on the porch on a nice evening. He lives in Asbury Park and often works as a music director at Monmouth University (Long Branch), Axelrod Theatre (Deal), and Kelsey Theatre (West Windsor). He is a nationally ranked crossword solver, host of possibly-too-difficult Zoom trivia, and overbearing pitbull dad.
Bridgette Gan
- Praised by the Washington Post for her “gorgeous singing,” Soprano Bridgette Gan is quickly establishing herself as a vibrant interpreter in the musical realms of opera, concert and crossover works. Ms. Gan had the honor of performing as the guest soloist for Wheeling Symphony’s Music Under the Stars concert, the nation’s first live concert with orchestra following the general shutdown of performances due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Bridgette looks forward to returning to Wheeling Symphony in 2023. Recent highlights include leading roles with Opera Idaho, Utah Festival Opera, Palm Beach Opera, Santa Fe Opera, and the Pacific Symphony.
Scott Johnson’s credits include Gaston in Beauty and the Beast, Phoebus in The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Professor Bhaer in Little Women, and performances with Florentine Opera, Nashville Opera, Opera Philadelphia, Deutsche Oper Berlin, and Teatro Regio di Torino.
