Event Description
Queen Christina was the galvanizing force behind a collection of poets and musicians called the Arcadians. With a focus on buccolic and the hearts of shepherds and shepherdesses, Stradella, Corelli, Scarlatti and Handel enjoyed the patronage and the respect of Rome's most important patrons and poets. This program brings an evening in Roman Arcadian gardens of the late 17th and early 18th centuries.
