The McIltrot Brothers

THE McILTROT BROTHERS Acoustics & Harmonies A to Z

The distinct difference in “The McIltrot Brother’s diverse taste in musical performance styles is the “Magical Factor and Fabric” knitted into their Souls from Birth that creates an Aural Portrait of Color that will indulge your Hearts, Ears and Emotions with every Performance.

DOUG McILTROT

At 6 Years of Age, Doug began taking piano lessons from the Nuns in the convent of St. Mary’s Elementary School in New Castle, PA during the early 1960’s. He continued playing the piano until he was introduced to the guitar at age 11.

During this same time, Doug’s brother, Greg, received a snare drum at age 5 and a complete set of drums at age 8. It was now time for the Brother’s to play music together in a “Real Band”. So they did and they called it Sojourn. The “Sojourn” began for Doug & Greg out of a love for musical expression. They continue along that 40 year path today.

From 1979 through 1984, their band “ SOJOURN” toured rock clubs and concert venues on the East coast.

Greg McILtrot

Greg has been playing music for most of his life. He received his first snare drum at age 5 only to be followed by his first full set of drums by age 8. Relying on his own instincts, he began to listen to the music, to feel it, interpret it, and then play it. Relying only on his ears, his ability started to excel. By age 10, he played his first professional gig and has been playing in a working band ever since.

No stranger to the studio, Greg has recorded drum, vocal, and harmonica tracks in various studios in and around the Tri-State area along with taking an active part in contributing to co-producing, song arranging and project marketing.
