“The parties are bigger. The pace was faster, the shows were broader, the buildings were higher, the morals were looser.” -F. Scott Fitzgerald
The 18th amendment sparked a world of wild parties, organized crime & lavish spending. The economy boomed while speakeasies bustled with a secretive society of gangsters, bootleggers and flappers. Surely there is no better place to experience an immersive adaptation of the era than Prohibition Supperclub & Bar. The Moonlight Dolls production takes you on a journey into a beautiful world of the luxury and carelessness that marked the Roaring Twenties. Adapted from Fitzgerald’s ‘Tales of the Jazz Age’ short stories, The Moonlight Dolls are producing a fresh and site-specific adaption filled with evocative jazz music, recreating the glitz and decadence of the period. Through an amazing collaboration of music, dance and texts, The Moonlight Dolls capture the spirit of Fitzgerald’s work by immersing you into a world of 1920s style and character. YOU ARE INVITED TO THE PARTY! Expect a New Year’s countdown full of fox trots, moonshines and teapots; pearls and flappers, bootleggers and millionaires.
