That Lady Thing is a pop-up installation, born in San Francisco, raised on social media. We like strong voices and stronger cocktails, smart conversation and smart style. We are feminists with a fun streak and creatives with a conscience. That Lady Thing is a space that celebrates women of all definitions and welcomes allies who wish to join in support. We exist to raise awareness and to raise funds for organizations that support women in the workplace, and in the world.

In honor of International Women’s Day 2019, we’re popping up at rock ‘n’ roll landmark, the Phoenix Hotel, which is powered by a team of kickass women under celebrated hotelier Liz Lambert.

For this edition, we’re teaming with creative experiential company Cogs & Marvel—also powered by women founders and 90% female workforce—to bring back your fave purposeful pop up. Content is revolving, so expect to see some old classics, and some new hits from artists and designers including Raisa Yavneh, Designsake Studio, Dan Windsor, Hope Meng, Dance Brigade, and Dwoira Galilea. 

We'll also be showcasing special guests Crave on Friday, March 8 and SHAMEBOOTH all weekend long. 

That Lady Thing is an art project, not a profit center.

We are proud to donate $10 of every ticket to the National Women’s Law Center, which champions policies and laws that help women and girls achieve their potential throughout their lives — at school, at work, at home, and in their communities. They are committed advocates who take on the toughest challenges, especially for women who are low-income and those who face multiple forms of discrimination. The remainder of the ticket fees pays to build and staff the event.

All guests will be asked for ID and those under 21 will be wristbanded. While all messaging is positive, in support of gender equality, some creative expression includes mature language and imagery. Sunday ticketing is open to those who are 14 and over.

• There are no refunds and we do not accept tickets bought from a 3rd party.


• One ID must match one person in your party.
