- Details
Celebrate summer with an evening of reading and conversation by Brooklyn-based queer women writers T Kira Madden and Nicole Dennis-Benn, whose newest works center on the enduring process of discovering oneself and finding home. Madden reads from her debut memoir Long Live the Tribe of Fatherless Girls, which centers on coming of age as a queer biracial teenager amidst privilege and racial disparity. Dennis-Benn shares from her new novel Patsy, in which the protagonist leaves her Jamaican hometown hoping for a happier life and the chance to rekindle young love in New York. Followed by a conversation between the authors and a book signing. Part of our annual Summer Salons series, co-presented with PEN America.
