Storypalooza 2!
Adults only
A night of raucous, raunchy, hilarious, poignant, heartfelt stories by some of the best storytellers on the east coast. Hosted by Dan Foley, a Boston area juggler, comedienne, performer extraordinaire and performed by four amazing storytellers, this will be a night you pee yourself laughing, but one you will think about in quiet moments for months afterward. Most storytelling concerts and contests have themes. The theme for this evening is “Adults only” which certainly means don't bring the kids! But also means wear your thickest skin. But don’t worry. It will be dark enough so they won't see you blush.
Susanne Schmidt Susanne’s work as a comedic storyteller has been featured on CBS Sunday Morning, The Moth, HBO’s Inspiration Room, WGBH Stories from the Stage and Massmouth Suitcase Stories. In 2015 Susanne was named The Academy of Music Theater and New England Public Radio first "Best of the Valley Voices.”
Tone Nunes Winner of “Best of the Valley Voices” and veteran of Storypalooza 1, Tone tends to focus on embarrassing himself. A technologist by trade, you can find Tone on the weekends rescuing animals or scouring Ebay for a Wonder Woman cake pan or Bionic Woman lunch box. Tone’s fear of clowns and birds tends to keep him indoors and away from carnivals. Tone is a vegan and hates it
Jannelle is an award-winning storyteller and is honored to have been a feature at many venues including WGBH Boston, World Channel, and Massmouth's television series: Stories from the Stage, RISK!, Club Passim, and more. She serves as Executive Director for ātac, a performing and visual arts venue, where she can often be found developing programming and plumbing for funding. When she gets a bit of free time she can be found working on her camper, walking around Providence, or parenting her two kiddos.
David Bulley is a novelist, poet, songwriter, risk taker and storyteller. The producer of Storypalooza 1 and 2, David has performed numerous times for Valley voices, as well as “The Unexplained story concert” from Local Dirt productions. David was born in Northern Maine and still often feels like a barbarian from the North among the gentile folk of Western Mass.
