We are excited to share the launch of our new Gallery at Stone Barns. The space opens with a collaborative exhibition between Stone Barns Center and Object & Thing, an organization reimagining the art and design fair concept by bringing together both disciplines through a focus on the object.
The exhibition was curated by Object & Thing’s founder and creative director, Abby Bangser, and features the work of seven artists, all of whom have made unique, yet functional works that embrace materials from our farm. Artists were offered the opportunity to visit with our team and identify materials for their pieces, highlighting the inextricable links between craft and farm sustainability.
The participating artists include current Stone Barns Chef in Residence Johnny Ortiz and longtime Blue Hill and Stone Barns Center collaborator Gregg Moore, as well as Megumi Arai, Jane Crisp, Green River Project LLC, Kiva Motnyk, and Frances Palmer.
Please join us for an in-person viewing appointment at Stone Barns Center, by reservation only.
