Closing Night Event - with Alloy Orchestra - Live
This sequel to the 1921 blockbuster The Sheik was released just two weeks following the death of star and silent-era pop icon Rudolph Valentino at age 31, becoming one of the most popular movies of its time. The legendary Latin Lover plays dual roles as both the older Sheik and his son Ahmed, who falls for the lovely Yasmin (Vilma Banky). A story of kidnapping, romance, ransom and revenge, it is Valentino's last screen performance and considered his finest. Features a live performance of a new score from Boston-based Alloy Orchestra, an ensemble who've composed and performed musical accompaniments to silent classics for more than two decades.
Closing Night Party follows the screening.
