ABOUT QUIET HOUSES
Quiet Houses is an outfit of many styles. Founded by singer/songwriter Chris Eriquezzo, the project initially began as a way of exploring his ability to write music outside of the vernacular he was accustomed to with progressive metal band Writing in the Skies. Slowly but surely, the songs grew more expansive, encompassing elements of more progressive songwriters such as Joni Mitchell and StevenWilson. After several line-up changes, Chris eventually teamed up with bassist/composer Josh Loell and drummer Will Carroll to round out the trio. Their forthcoming self-titled debut record shows a wide sonic palate with lush guitars, many levels of vocal layering, and heavy arrangements to more sparse, intimate ballads reminiscent of the group's initial musical ventures. This full length is bound to have something for all listeners.
ABOUT MARK SCHWABER
To Mark Schwaber, the art of distilling beauty from desolation is a familiar one. The sonic expression of his sincere relationship with darkness binds together the many albums that he has recorded over the last several years. His most recent work, Everything Around Me, continues this journey. Written in the months leading up to and after his mother’s passing, the album captures a devastating epoch in Schwaber’s life.
