Young Washington Irving in Sleepy Hollow!
Before Washington Irving was an internationally renowned author, he came to Sleepy Hollow as a young man and absorbed the spine-tingling tales he would fondly recall all his life. Bring YOUR family for an afternoon they won't soon forget!
Artist and puppeteer extraordinaire Melissa Chernowetz uses her hand-crafted shadow puppets to weave an original tale based on Irving's real life events as he makes mischief and escapes the specter of his most famous tale - the Headless Horseman!
Suitable for ages 5 and up. Be sure to stay after the show for a behind-the-scenes look at how Melissa works her magic!
Dates & Times: October Saturdays from 2:00-3:00 p.m. and again from 4:00-5:00 p.m., plus Halloween from 4:00-5:00 p.m.
All ticket proceeds go directly toward preservation and restoration of the monuments and memorials of the cemetery. We are a 501(c)(3) organization. Tickets are nonrefundable and cannot be exchanged.
