Senator Ron Wyden, It Takes Chutzpah: How to Fight Fearlessly for Progressive Change
Author Talk, Q & A & Book Signing
As the child of Jewish refugees who fled Nazi Germany in the 1930s, Senator Wyden is committed to the pursuit of tikkun olam, which literally means “to repair the world.” This concept drives the four greatest passions of his political life: creating an economy where all Americans can get ahead, civil rights, health care, and protecting the environment.
It Takes Chutzpah chronicles Wyden’s remarkable political career. He was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives at just 31 years old after spending his twenties advocating primarily for seniors. In his four decades in Congress, Wyden has sponsored some of the most consequential laws for our society and his new book takes readers behind the scenes to see how these battles were won.
