resourcED Kitchen Garden Box

We’re excited to share a special member opportunity to start a garden with Stone Barns Center’s guidance: a resourcED Kitchen Garden Box. It's a starter kit for your own home garden, complete with instructions for starting a garden--a recipe, if you will--along with seeds, plant starts and compost. Price: $500

For the safety and convenience of everyone, coordinated pick-ups will take place over the course of two days each month from April – July. You will receive an email with details prior to each pick-up. The first pick-up is currently scheduled for Wednesday, April 22nd.

The resourcED Kitchen Garden Box* includes:

• Seedlings and seeds for a full growing season (April - December) in a 15' x 12' garden or similar area - picked up at key points throughout the season


• Compost


• Six-bed rotation design, which you can scale up or down depending on your garden plot size


• A recipe for creating your design


• A community email or Facebook group to share ideas, recipes, and questions with one another and Stone Barns farmers

Sample harvests:

Spring
Cucumber, Zucchini, Marigold, Lettuce, Peas, Carrots, Kale

Summer
Tomato, Pepper, Cabbage, Basil, Swiss Chard, Zinnia, Beet, Corn

Fall
Eggplant, Lettuce, Arugula, Fennel, Bean, Winter Squash

*The Kitchen Garden Box is an exclusive benefit for Stone Barns members. Participation in the Stone Barns Center Kitchen Garden Box requires current membership at the time of registration and for the duration of the season.
