Sounds metamorphize from small to big as Music Gallery OGs The Glass Orchestra bring back beloved glass noises and future proof fills every corner with sound.
For the last night of X AVANT XIX: TeXture, we bring back MG OGs The Glass Orchestra, the only ensemble in the world that performs and composes with their own glass instruments. Founded in 1977 and entering its 47th year, the Glass Orchestra continues to explore the ethereal, expansive, and percussive possibilities of glass using bowls, goblets, tubes, xylophones, bells, and other uniquely designed instruments.
future proof brings in some pedal-mania and ends the night with huge, avant-groove sounds that rush and wash the whole space. With two beloved Toronto improvisers making small and BIG sounds, this night is not to be missed.
In our gallery space, Toronto-based artist Michael Fawcett builds a custom, texture-inspired interactive sound installation that is to be both seen and heard.

Rush Line & No-Show Policy: Sometimes our shows sell out, and that can be a bummer for folks who didn’t get a ticket. We’ve developed a new ticketing policy that apply to advance ticket holders and those wanting tickets to ensure a fair, transparent process for releasing additional tickets to a sold-out show. Please read our full policy here.
Ticketing: Our new ticket type invites you to Pay What You Can Afford (PWYCA) which means that you can choose an appropriate level and where possible, help to offset community members attending at a discounted rate. Levels are decided by you based upon your income and financial flexibility and are not verified at the door.
