Railroad Festival Whistle Blow

Come hear whistles of the past echo through the hills and valleys of beautiful Estill County, Kentucky. This unique event will wrap up the annual Ravenna Railroad Festival and feature authentic steam whistles from our nation's railroads. Whistles from the Louisville and Nashville, Southern Railway, Norfolk and Western, Chesapeake and Ohio, Baltimore and Ohio, Pennsylvania, and other railroads will be connected to live steam and be heard through eastern Kentucky for the first time in decades. There is no cost to attend this event.

After registering, please contact Chad Harpole at chad@kentuckysteam.org to delineate what whistles you will be bringing. All whistles are subject to safety inspection by Kentucky Steam Heritage Corporation prior to hook-up.
