Queen Elizabeth II Butterfly Release

In Tribute to the life of Queen Elizabeth II and her 70 years of service, we will be releasing 70 Monarch Butterflies on The Great Lawn.  The event is free with Gardens Admission.

These Monarch Butterflies are part of the Monarch tagging and tracking program, which tracks their annual migration to Mexico.  This program helps researchers learn more about the Monarch Butterfly.  Additional information about this program is available at monarchwatch.org, and monarchnet.org.
