Provocateur Dinner and Show
Burlesque, better known as a performance movement that brought together components of striptease, comedy, dance, theatrical mayhem and satire into one show.
A perfect marriage of vaudevillian spectacle and striptease, burlesque dates as far back as the 16th century. Marked by elaborate costuming and many, many tassels, burlesque gained popularity in America in the 20’s and 30’s.
The rebirth of this art form came in the 1990’s under the nickname:
NEO-BURLESQUE
With edgier ensembles, off-political undertones and contemporary demure, NEO-BURLESQUE gives the art of burlesque a 21st century twist.
Provocateur encompasses these characteristics through cheeky novelty acts, exacerbated femininity & laser lights to help us tell the story.
Join us for this very dark & sexy showcase presented by The Moonlight Dolls.
Ticket Pricing and Information
Tickets to the show must be purchased through Showclix in advance or at the door if available. All seats require a $45 prix-fixe three course dinner, payable at the end of the show. Price ranges from $17 to $54 depending on the location.

Large Groups
Hosting a birthday? Bachelorette? Prohibition is the perfect place to celebrate it! Book a semi-private balcony overlooking the theatre for a Gatsby Themed party with a personal server for your group.
For parties of 6 or more, please complete and submit the Large Group Request form. Due to time constraints, service issues, and disruption to our other guests, large groups cannot be placed on the theatre floor. All large groups must submit a large group request and be placed on the mezzanine, which is better suited for private parties. If you purchase tables on the floor, we will have to move you upstairs or refund your tickets. Please be considerate of other guests who are attending with smaller groups.

About the Venue
The new Prohibition is divided into two areas. A 3,000 sq ft restaurant with patio features a 30' granite top bar, ornate mirrored wall, ceramic black and white tiles, and dark oak wood panels. The design is reminiscent of great American and European Hotel bars and lobbies of the past, where you could feel at home away from home. The restaurant is more casual and is the perfect place to dine weekly or stay late at the vibrant bar.
The second area is the 5,000 sq ft theatre that once was the historic Isis Theatre. Billed as the first silent theatre in Houston built in 1912, Prohibition’s new theatre is a return to its origins. This space is a juxaposition of old and new with a serpentine staircase, art deco carpet, semi-private mezzanine, and a grand stage. The theatre is perfect for theatre art performances, private events, and weddings.
