With the help of Yondr bags, we at the Comedy Store create phone-free spaces for artists and comedians.  

What that means: Upon arrival at the venue, all phones and smart watches are placed in Yondr cases and will be unlocked at the end of the show. Guests maintain possession of these items at all times. Guests may also access their phones at any time only in the designated Phone Use Areas throughout the venue. All phones will be re-secured upon returning to the event space.

Anyone seen using a device during the performance in a non-designated area will be escorted out of the venue by security. We appreciate your cooperation in creating a phone-free viewing experience.

Created by veteran comedian Lisa Sundstedt in 1995, Pretty Funny Women is the longest running all female stand up show in the world. PFW currently plays at the La Jolla Comedy Store every last Wednesday of the month and features a totally different line up of hysterical women each show. The show always closes with a seasoned headliner while also featuring the hottest up and coming comics from around the country. Some of the biggest names in comedy who have performed on past PFW shows are Chelsea Handler, Atsuko Okatsuka, Tig Notaro, Tiffany Haddish, Wendy Liebman, Maria Bamford, Sherri Shepherd, Natasha Leggero, Vicki Barbolak and Margaret Cho.
