Pittsburgh Earth Day: Ecolution Fashion Gala

Because “Earth Matters Now!” Celebrate sustainability ahead of Earth Day 2022 at the exquisite, one-of-a-kind Ecolution Fashion Gala!

Pittsburgh Earth Day hosts the Ecolution Fashion Gala in the Carnegie Museum Music Hall Foyer from 8-10 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m. Curated by Richard Parsakian and styled by Izzazu Salon, Spa & Blowout Bar. Presented by Duquesne Light, UPMC Health Plan, Pitt Ohio, and Evoqua.

This year’s Ecolution Fashion Gala titled, “Earth Matters Now: For The World We Dream Of & The World We Have Now” will be co-emceed by the Green Voice's Natalie Bencivenga and Brian Siewiorek and hosted by Elista from Star 100.7!

The main event will feature a runway fashion show highlighting recycled and reused materials designed exclusively for Pittsburgh Earth Day by local designers set against local music performances. Guests can celebrate with a signature cocktail featuring Finlandia Vodka created by lifestyle blogger and founder of the Co Le Journal, Coraliz Leilani.

The Ecolution Artist Showcase will feature artist Randie Snow who will showcase her stunning art pieces including the "Dance Unveiled" and the "Dance Trussed."

Ecolution, curated by Richard Parsakian invites designers and artists to elevate this year's theme by creating wearable fashion through the use of sustainable, recyclable, and organic materials into stellar environmentally savvy ensembles that will address the environmental issues facing our planet. This year’s designers will include - Knotzland x Temper & Grit, Kat Belskey, Cheryl Capazzuti, Brian David, Carley Furlow, Leesa Kassler, Vicki Kerestes, Gregory Labon, KING RELD, Mad Recital, Pangea, Randal Miller, Lana Neumeyer, Suz Pisano, Paul Schifino, Randi Stewart and Jamie Miller, CT Steele, Y=f(X) at Sergery Design Studio and Pearlann Porter.

A panel of three judges including Susan Tsu, Kilolo Luckett, and Alisha Wormsley will determine the top four scoring designers who will receive a cash prize courtesy of  Lab-Grown Diamonds by Caesar’s Designs Fine Jewelry Creations.

  Special appearance by Brazilian chanteuse Lily Abreu who will perform live in the VIP lounge.

Ecolution Fashion Gala will showcase 22 local designers to integrate sustainable, recyclable, and organic materials into stellar environmentally savvy ensembles. The most challenging times can bring about the most creative moments, and the designers have quite the post-COVID show in store for you!

 Hair and make-up provided by Izzazu Salon, Spa & Blowout Bar with Models (from Docherty Model & Talent Agency) gracing the runway. “This must-see fashion show is an eclectic mix of Pittsburgh artists working together to continue the awareness and practice of sustainability.
