Pianist, Priscila Navarro leads a guided musical tour of composer Jimmy López’s homage to AfroPeruvian music. Including the premiere of Peru Negro in a two piano, two percussion version featuring six Afro-Peruvian dances in what Lopez calls a "personal desire to assimilate Peruvian folk music" to the point of blending it seamlessly with his own language.

(V) EAC’s VOCES series spotlights a different facet of Latin American culture and traditions each season. This year's VOCES Series will feature artists and traditions of the African Diaspora in Latin America, showcasing music, dance, and storytelling.
