Overview:
This resource will go through each of the four seasons—Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter— and highlight important lessons associated with each change in the yearly cycle. Quotes from Indigenous Elders and Knowledge Keepers in the Indigenous Peoples Experience are included alongside guiding questions to consider.
Finally, the program allows for 30 minutes of a booked virtual discussion with an Indigenous education interpreter. This time will allow learners to ask questions to our interpreters and expand upon the teachings shared during the lesson.

What grade level is this package appropriate for?
Our package was designed to follow the curriculum of grades 1-3.
How long does the program take to complete?
The program should take 1 to 2 lessons to complete, with approx. 90 minutes cumulative time, with 30 minutes of Interpreter Q+A. Time may change depending on grade level and class. The times listed are suggestions but are flexible to accommodate educator preferences.
How long will I have access to the digital learning package?
You will have access to this learning package content until June 30th, 2025. Following June 30th, access will be removed.
What do I do after my group has completed the digital learning package?
Following the completion of this learning package, you will reach out to our Indigenous Narratives Supervisor via the email address included in your confirmation email to schedule your Q&A time. Please note the example questions provide at the end of the learning package, and feel free to generate your own questions with your class.
NOTE: Q&A sessions must be scheduled on Wednesdays or Thursdays. All Q&A sessions must be scheduled and completed. before April 25th, 2025.
