NHSD cancelling or postponing events and field trips amid coronavirus concerns
PITTSBURGH -- Following new COVID-19 guidance from Gov. Tom Wolf and the Allegheny County Health Department advising residents to avoid large events and mass gatherings where close contact is inevitable, the North Hills School District has decided to take the following precautions.
- All NHSD student and staff field trips through April 30, 2020, have been cancelled or postponed.
- All NHSD large-scale activities and events through April 3, 2020, have been cancelled or postponed. This includes the spring musical and the high school’s spring formal.
We will look to reschedule the following and will communicate new dates as soon as they’re available:
- March 19: North Hills Town Hall "The Dangers of Vaping"
- March 20-22, 26-28: Spring Musical "Catch Me If You Can"
- March 30: Band-O-Rama
- April 1: Elementary Band Spring Concert
- April 2: United States Service Academies Day
- April 3: NHHS Spring Formal

Based on the hit film and the incredible true story, Catch Me If You Can is the high-flying musical comedy about chasing your dreams and not getting caught.
