Mosgrove Building Members Tour

Springfield architect Charles Cregar oversaw the design of several structures in Urbana, but none more exemplary of his signature look than the Mosgrove Building, which he designed for Dr. James Mosgrove in 1889. From its heavy stone belting and Romanesque arches to its stepped-brick cornice and multi-paned windows, this building is quintessential Cregar. Today, after years of restoration by artist Mike Major, this landmark serves as his studio and office. Join Mike Major and architectural historian Kevin Rose on a tour of this historic gem.
