Event Description

New year, new art, MoMA Now!
Toast the New Year at MoMA with a thrilling, private after-hours walk-through of our contemporary exhibitions—perfect as a gift for you, your family, or your friends. A MoMA educator will answer your questions and guide you through the artists’ environments and techniques. Tony Oursler's Imponderable is a “5-D” experience created using technology and offbeat ephemera, in The Shape of Things, photographs in MoMA's collection thanks to collector and trustee Robert B. Menschel present the history of the medium through diverse and, at times, radical subjects, while Nan Goldin's The Ballad of Sexual Dependency is an immersion in portraiture, memory, and the healing power of storytelling. This will be a truly unique experience for all involved.
Check-in begins at 6:00 p.m. with a wine reception. An art historian will lead you through the galleries from 6:30 to 8:00. A limited number of tickets ($85; $75 for MoMA Members and employees of Corporate Members) are available online. For more information, please contact groupservices@moma.org or (212) 708-9685.
