Three of the most popular musicians from Maui’s renowned Slack Key Show come together for an evening of the pure joy of slack key guitar. 4-time Grammy winner George Kahumoku Jr, known as “Hawai‘i’s Renaissance Man”—he’s a vocalist, storyteller, songwriter, author, teacher, sculptor, farmer, and chef. Led Kaapana is a National Heritage Fellow, unsurpassed in his guitar-picking style, and one of Hawai’i’s most influential musicians for decades. Jeff Peterson is a star of the current generation invigorating slack key traditions – he’s known for his versatility from slack key to classical, jazz to film soundtracks. Raised in rural and ranching Hawai’i and immersed in Hawaiian music and culture from childhood, these multiple award-winners bring living history to the stage, along with entertainment, stories, and good fun.
