During the summer of 1953, George and Hay, a couple of former Broadway stars, bring their rundown touring company to Buffalo, NY to perform Private Lives and Cyrano de Bergerac in repertory. Throw in a scornful, deaf, mother in law, a pregnant ingénue, a daughter who just wants to live a normal, non show biz life, and the possibility of Frank Capra coming to scout their show and hilarity is guaranteed!!
