Mingo draws from a deep pool of influences to create original material. For the past 6 years, this group has been delivering their unique brand of Alternative Western music to audiences near and far. A coyote howling across the valley, a whippoorwill's song after sunset, or a highballing freight train are right at home with this Capitol City quartet.
Their debut album, Fulton, has been slowly and meticulously prepared in Columbus over the past three years. It finally made its way to a limited vinyl pressing during the late winter of 2020 and the early spring of 2021, much to their devoted fans' delight. Like all great western tales that came before it, the album focuses heavily on life's constant themes. Love, friendship, adversity, and redemption all find their way to the listener through the pen, voice, and guitar of Jeremy Mills. Mitch Pinkston will lend talents while he holds down the low end on the electric bass. Johnny Polansky keeps the pulse on the drum kit. Rounding out the ensemble is Jake Young on electric guitar.
Mingo hopes that their fans can join them as they officially debut the material. They will be playing the album in its entirety as well as a handful of select songs to compliment the sonic journey and round out the evening program.
