In collaboration with Toronto’s TONE Festival, we head to Standard Time for three sets of songs and improvisations that range from the delicate and tender to the wildly imaginative.

Following their recent release “Accept When”—an album that draws on their longtime friendship and collaboration as songwriter-improvisers— saxophonist Caroline Davis and guitarist Wendy Eisenberg join us from New York for an intimate duo set.

Joining them with two solo offerings are France-based artist Sakina Abdou, presenting an acoustic saxophone set that draws on her versatile background in jazz and improvised music, and Toronto’s own Evan Cartwright, with a solo songwriting project punctuated by field recordings and tape deck.

Standard Time is not currently wheelchair accessible due to stairs (a step at the entrance and two sets of stairs up to the performance space). Washrooms are gender neutral.
