Meditation & a Movie: Gurukulam

Meditation & a Movie ticket includes:

- A Restorative Yoga/Meditation Class from 9:45am-11:00am at Sterling Yoga just a block from the theater.

- Free admission to the Hollywood Theater for a 15 minute Guided Meditation, and a screening of the new feature film GURUKULAM.

There will also be chair massages for $1.00/minute; Life Eye Readings with Shay Port, and more in the lobby.  

 GURUKULAM is a new feature film about life at a remote forest ashram Tamil Nadu in India, and the ancient roots of modern day meditation and yoga practice.   It explores the daily life of the followers of Swami Dayananda, one of the last teachers of Vedanta.  Rather than focus on the Swami or the intricacies of his teachings, Gurukulam places the audience in the ashram, evoking a visceral presence of the place and a tactile sense of the sacred.
