The #1 New York Times bestselling author of Waiting to Exhale and How Stella Got Her Groove Back returns with a story of defying expectations and finding joy.
At 68, Loretha Curry is living well. Her days are filled with life-long friends, an adoring husband, and the running of her beauty-supply empire. Despite her age, she is determined to thrive, no matter the views that her mother and twin sister try to impose about how her age should make her feel. But when she is unexpectedly struck by loss, the very foundation on which she has built her success feels like it is faltering.
Terry McMillan discusses It’s Not All Downhill from Here, her creative influences, and the career she has built writing stories about resilience. She will be joined in conversation by the Women's Prize for Fiction-winning author of An American Marriage, Tayari Jones.
