Masters of Hawaiian Music Concert and Dinner

The Guitar Sanctuary is proud to present the return of The Masters of Hawaiian Music: George Kahumoku Jr, Sonny Lim, and Herb Ohta Jr to The Sanctuary Music & Events Center on Sunday March 16th at 7pm (Doors open at 6).


Four-time Grammy winner and slack key guitar master George Kahumoku Jr is joined by award-winners Sonny Lim on slide steel and slack key guitar and Herb Ohta Jr on ‘ukulele, among the most popular featured artists at George’s long-running Slack Key Show on Maui. They draw from a uniquely Hawaiian musical mix that converged in the islands - ‘ukulele introduced by Portuguese immigrants, guitar brought by Mexican vaqueros, and slide steel, invented in Hawai‘i. From traditional roots that go back to the down-home tunings of Hawai’i’s cowboys to virtuosic ‘ukulele and steel to original songs and Hawaiian classics, they create a captivating evening of music, culture, and stories.


For this show, we'll once again be partnering with our friends at L&L Hawaiian BBQ of Plano and all tickets will include a Hawaiian Buffet dinner as part of the price.

We'll have full bar service available for purchase featuring a special tropical drink menu from our friends at Zin Zen Wine Bistro, and our friends at 107 Roasters will be on site with a selection of Hawaiian Coffees and treats available for purchase.
