Featuring solo vocal works by 17th century Italian composer Claudio Monteverdi and 20th century Argentinian folk musician Atahualpa Yupanqui with special guests Grammy-winning tenor Karim Sulayman and American-Argentinean mezzo-soprano Solange Merdinian. This video production will also feature original photography by Argentinian photographer Rubén Dubrovsky (no relation to TCB’s Maestro Dubrovsky!).

This intimate program spans the centuries and the globe to focus on the commonalities and connections between these two “brothers,” Monteverdi and Yupanqui, as well as the theme of unity, freedom, and camaraderie as heard in Yupanqui’s famous song Los Hermanos. Through the power of 21st century technology, we are excited to present both virtual and in-person musical collaborations in this production.
