Longturn Presents: Nhii (Live)

Gym class is back in session! We're thrilled to be the very first event in a beloved old space with brand new life, The Gymnasium at The Maverick. 

In our 5 year history, this will be our first headliner performing LIVE. Nhii will be flying with all of his equipment (synthesizers, modular racks, drum samplers, etc) to provide us with a 90-minute live performance that will be sure to bewitch and inspire.

Nhii (no human is illegal) is a bottomless journey of musical growth with no boundaries in a universal context. An exchange of human love through the experience of music. Let him be your guide on this magical adventure and join us as for an evening of enchantment and charm.

Setting the stage for the night will be talented local artists from different Pittsburgh crews. Jen Nuñez (Sentient) and Easy (Dissolv) will be making their Longturn debuts. Griggs will be joining us once again and our very own Koop will be closing out the night.

In the era when America's Rust Belt got its name, factory workers labored on a 12-hour day or night shift for two weeks straight. To switch shifts, one group would have to work 24-hours straight and cover the labor gap. This grueling shift became known as the Longturn. Longturn music was founded to give people with day jobs a space to spend their second shift. No bottle service, no passwords, just a dance floor filled with good people and good music.
