The Night Shift carries on January 25 with a special LIVE set from the Berlin-based singer and live melodic techno act, JOPLYN! With collaborations and remixes by electronic heavyweights such as Booka Shade, Damian Lazarus, MK, Jan Blomqvist, Einmusik, Rodriguez Jr., HOSH, Adana Twins, 8Kays etc. and releases on labels such as Blaufield Music, Watergate Records, Crosstown Rebels, Mobilee, Get Physical, None Of The Above Berlin etc. We are extremely excited for Pete Tong's "BBC Radio 1's Future Star of 2022" and "the singing Techno DJ from Berlin with the 2 dots" to perform live in our intimate club setting of Cobra Pittsburgh.

Warming up the room for this beautiful experience will be InnerSound's Sertac Sahin and local artist Jackson Berlin both making their returns to the Void Sound System.

JOPLYN is a young, singing electronic live act from Berlin creating her own, unique melodic techno music, where she also blends in “2000s” Style Electro, House & eclectic Electronica. She writes and produces her own music and uses only her original songs for her performance.

She has already collaborated with/has been remixed by electronic heavyweights such as Booka Shade, Damian Lazarus, MK, Jan Blomqvist, Einmusik, Rodriguez Jr., HOSH, Adana Twins, 8Kaysetc. and released on labels such as Blaufield Music, Watergate Records, Crosstown Rebels, Mobilee, Get Physical, None Of The Above Berlin etc.

Pete Tong named JOPLYN “BBC Radio 1’s Future Star of 2022”. JOPLYN has also been described as “the singing Techno DJ from Berlin with the 2 dots..”

LIVE SHOWS:
JOPLYN has played over 120 shows internationally and was invited to share the stage with headliners such as: Rüfüs Du Sol, Monolink, Adriatique, Booka Shade, Innellea and Jan Blomqvist. She has also held Ibiza residencies at Hï Club Ibiza (Black Coffee/Damian Lazarus) and Cova Santa (WooMoon Ibiza).

In April 2024, JOPLYN was invited to play at the legendary COACHELLA festival in California on the official YUMA Tent line up alongside artists such as: Flight Facilities, Eli & Fur, Artbat, Blessed Madonna, Ame, Innellea, Gorgon City, Blondish etc… A definite highlight in her young career, JOPLYN was able to mesmerize her COACHELLA audience and make new fans, building her network of friends and supporters in the US market.

JOPLYN considers herself an “Electronic Live Act” and at her dynamic live shows, she sings and plays the synths and vocoder, while flawlessly mixing loops and creating live-jams on the spot. She aims to build an intense connection with her audience through her live performance and exclusively performs her own songs and productions to tell an emotional and powerful story…

In the era when America's Rust Belt got its name, factory workers labored on a 12-hour day or night shift for two weeks straight. To switch shifts, one group would have to work 24-hours straight and cover the labor gap. This grueling shift became known as the Longturn.

Longturn music was founded to give people with day jobs a space to spend their second shift. No bottle service, no passwords, just a dance floor filled with good people and good music.
