Benefit Concert for Leo Welsh

On April 26, a wife and her three children lost their husband and father suddenly and at a young age. The children, their family, and an infinite number of friends have been rocked by this tragedy.

Leo Welsh was a stagehand with I.A.T.S.E. Local 3 and a set dresser for I.A.T.S.E. Local 489. He was just 49; married to his wife Becky for 12 years and had 3 children: Maddie, age 11 and Jack & Molly, age 10. He was the type of guy that if you met him you were instantly taken by his personality and fervor for life. The six degrees of separation did not apply to Leo; he touched the lives of many people. He knew and remembered EVERYBODY he met and “their story”. He never forgot the names of their loved ones or their interests.
At the time of his death his wife was finishing nursing school and Leo was the sole provider. Unfortunately there is no life insurance to help.

Seeing a need, friends and coworkers of the family have come together and formed a committee. We are hosting a benefit concert, featuring national recording artist Amos Lee and several local bands and artists, at which we will raffle off various items and services donated by local merchants and organizations. The money raised will benefit Leo’s wife and children. We are requesting donations for Chinese Auction items from businesses in and around the community. Our hope is that you will join us, by contributing to this important cause. Thank you in advance for your consideration in donating.

The concert will be held July 17th, Diesel Club & Lounge, 1600 E. Carson St.

Doors will open at 6:00 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm
